Design Review Board
The Design Review Board/Tree Board (also known as the DRB) meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 4:00 pm at City Hall, 7120 Bodega Avenue in Sebastopol. The DRB is appointed by the City Council. The DRB reviews a wide range of development projects to ensure a high quality of design in Sebastopol. The DRB also reviews sign applications and landscaping and lighting as it relates to building development. The DRB also serves as the City's Tree Board.
The Design Review Board is established in Section 2.32 of the Sebastopol Municipal Code. The DRB is invested with the following duties:
The DRB consists of five members with preferably the following professional backgrounds:
- Two persons, at least one of whom is a licensed architect and one of whom is a licensed landscape architect.
- One person who may be any of the following: architect, landscape architect, building designer, building contractor, landscape contractor.
- Two persons not in the prior to sections.
- One alternate
