City Councilmember, Robert Jacob
A community organizer and visionary entrepreneur, Robert Jacob developed and led several non-profit organizations serving disenfranchised youth and patients. His professional background in corporate operations and project management includes managing construction of three international hospitals and the successful development of two proprietary businesses: a chain of salons and spas and an award winning charter school.
Robert currently serves on the City Council of Sebastopol. He also serves on the Budget subcommittee, the Sister City Committee, the Business Outreach Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, the League of California Cities, the Mayors’ & Councilmembers Association, the Legislative Committee, the Employee Recognition Committee, the Energy & Sustainable Practices Committee, is a voting delegate on ABAG and the City Council Liaison for the Cittaslow Sebastopol Steering Committee. He has an uncanny ability to unite different communities behind common solutions.
Mr. Jacob is the City Liaison to Cittaslow Sebastopol, a nonprofit that preserves our unique town character by collaborating with individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to create activities and programs that:
- Support locally made products and agriculture
- Celebrate our local culture and history
- Welcome visitors and embrace neighbors
- Integrate technologies for improved well-being
- Protect the health of the environment
- Develop community-friendly infrastructure
