Ag + Open Space Board Approves Over $3.6 Million for Urban Open Space Projects

Sebastopol’s AmeriCorps Trail will soon be expanding!

The Trail’s expansion is one of five countywide projects recently approved by the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District's Matching Grant Program, in which over $3 million will help expand and develop open spaces within the area.

The funding, with an expected grant award of $126,943 to the City of Sebastopol, will expand the AmeriCorps Trail by 12.4 acres.  The Trail, providing access between the Barlow and the Laguna de Santa Rosa Trail, will create new trails and access points to connect with the existing AmeriCorps Trail.
