Mandatory Evacuation Lifted
Mandatory Evacuation Lifted
As of 2 pm today, October 28, Cal Fire announced that the mandatory evacuation order within Sebastopol city limits had been lifted and reduced to an evacuation warning. Sebastopol residents are cleared to return. If you are uncertain as to whether or not your home falls within the area still under mandatory evacuation orders, you can check your address
here
.
Power/Water Update as of 10 am Oct. 29
Although the mandatory evacuation has been lifted, Sebastopol remains under a power blackout. PG&E reports that Sebastopol’s outage relates to a major transmission line that may take some time to repair. We will update this information as soon as we are informed by PG&E. We are also attempting to have PG&E place a Community Resource Center (CRC) in our City.
City water and sewer are functional and being constantly monitored by City staff. As a precaution, it is requested that citizens conserve water wherever possible. City offices are presently open but under minimal staffing. As a reminder: the City Council meeting for tonight October 29th has been cancelled.
As a reminder, please contact 9-1-1 in case of emergencies only. Please do not contact the Police Department for non-emergency questions. However, for routine questions/concerns, please feel free to contact City Offices.
