Thursday, October 24, 2019: Councilmember Sarah Gurney

City Council Member Sarah Gurney is Sebastopol’s representative on the Sonoma County Transit Authority, the regional consortium of governmental agencies that works on policy for all manner of getting around: foot, bike, bus, car, train… As a bike-commuter in high school, college and during her first job, little did she know that she would spend so much time focusing on transportation issues! Eleven years ago, Sarah co-founded the Sebastopol Walks program as part of a dedicated team of volunteers who are still going strong. As a Council Member, she has worked to improve our local Shuttle. Alternative transportation is one of the six priorities of Cittaslow Sebastopol, another group she launched during her term in office.
