Neysa Hinton Appointed as Sebastopol Mayor

The City of Sebastopol has a new mayor in town – Neysa Hinton. First appointed to the City Council in 2016, she has served as Vice Mayor for the past year. Before the vote, outgoing mayor Patrick Slayter thanked the Sebastopol community for their support over the past year and offered thoughts on the coming year. “I continue to urge you to make a difference with generous offerings of your time, your expertise, your money, and your hearts.”
 
Incoming Mayor Hinton shared a statement after her appointment: “To hold the position of mayor, your colleagues must nominate you and have confidence in your to do the job and represent the City of Sebastopol for the next year in a way that makes everyone proud – that is my goal for the year 2019 as mayor of our very special city of Sebastopol.”
