Shelter in Place Information & FAQs

UPDATE: The Sonoma County Health Officer today extended the Health Order for people to shelter-in-place safely in their homes until May 3, 2020. The original Order was announced on Wednesday March 18 and set to expire on April 7, 2020.

By order of the Public Health Officer for the County of Sonoma, all county residents are under a Shelter in Place order effective Tuesday, March 17tat midnight. It is currently set to last for 3 weeks through Tuesday, April 7, 2020. The County will monitor the situation closely every day in order to determine what adjustments make sense.

Sonoma County is requiring people to stay home except for essential needs. The intent of this order is to ensure that the maximum number of people self-isolate in their places of residence to the maximum extent feasible.

The City of Sebastopol is working hard to keep the community safe and informed during these uncertain times and thanks its citizens for their continued support. We will update this page as the situation evolves.
